The Little Slut Next Door (Part 2)

About three months had passed since my story with Anthi began. A secret relationship, which for obvious reasons we kept away from prying eyes. In front of others, we were almost formal. The real things, however, only happened when the two of us were alone at my place.

It was a Sunday night, somewhere in mid-December. I was watching football with my friend Petros when the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw Anthi. She was wearing a tight, short dress with a deep neckline and a smile I knew very well what it could mean.

She quickly stepped inside, as she usually did, but as soon as she saw Petros she stopped short. For a moment she seemed surprised. Then, however, she recovered immediately.

"I was coming back from a walk, I heard the TV and thought I'd keep you company for a bit," she said naturally.

"You did very well. We're watching football with Petros."

She took off her coat and sat on the edge of the sofa. Petros tried to seem engrossed in the match, but his gaze kept returning to her. Anthi had noticed. She didn't comment on anything. Instead, she slowly crossed her legs and adjusted her dress with a movement that made the situation even more interesting.

"Will you have a drink?" I asked her.

"If there's vodka..."

"Of course there is. Here we drink vodka."

I prepared the drinks and gestured for her to come sit between me and Petros.

"Come here, so we don't have to shout from afar."

She didn't hesitate. She moved towards us and settled on the sofa, so close to me that I could smell her perfume. Petros shot a quick glance our way and then returned to the television.

Anthi turned to me and smiled discreetly. It was her familiar smile, the one she used when she wanted to remind me that, even if there were others around us, between us there was a whole world of secrets.

I put my arm around her shoulders. She didn't pull away. On the contrary, she leaned against me as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Petros was now watching us more frequently, trying to understand if what he was seeing was just familiarity or something more.

"Nice company you have tonight," he finally commented.

Anthi turned towards him.

"I hope I'm not disturbing you."

"Not at all," he replied, a little faster than necessary.

I laughed. His discomfort was evident, but Anthi seemed to be enjoying the situation. She didn't do anything excessive. She didn't need to. A look from her, a smile, and the ease with which she sat between us were enough to completely change the atmosphere in the living room.

The match continued to play on the TV, but none of us were really watching it.

At some point, Anthi leaned towards me and whispered:

"I think your friend has started to suspect something."

"And you?" I asked her quietly. "Does it bother you?"

She looked me in the eyes for a few seconds.

"It depends on what you intend to do."

It was enough for me to understand that the night had taken a completely different turn from what I had expected.

Petros put his glass on the coffee table and turned towards us.

"So, is anyone going to explain to me what's going on here, or do I have to figure it out myself?"

Anthi didn't answer immediately. She looked at me first and then at him. A slow, enigmatic smile formed on her lips.

"And what if you prefer to discover it for yourself?" she said.

A silence followed that seemed much longer than a few seconds.

That night, my secret relationship with Anthi suddenly found itself facing a new, unforeseen situation. And, as it turned out later, it wasn't the last time the three of us would be together.

That happened two more times. Afterwards, Anthi started a new relationship and we decided to cut off all contact.

Some stories end without explanations. Only memories remain, the secrets, and those nights that, even years later, still return to your mind.
